AZURITE1

Azurite with Malachite from Utah. This piece came to us through Hawthorneden, because Frank had bought an entire room full of Azurites from this deposit in the late 1980's. Not much has been found since then, and in the 1990's Bisbee roses were widely available, then China started producing in the late 1990's. Most people who see our assortment are surprised to see the location. This piece has great color, is reflective and has small patches of Malachite that add character. Perhaps it's a stretch but in the first pic, I begin to see the portrait of a bear's face (or lion)...the second pic is the back side of the Azurite. It's in excellent condition with no eye-catching dings.
