APATITE4

The specimen is aesthetically "placed," within a nest of boytroidal Quartz. The crystal is gemmy and terminated. Because this location involves collapsed geological conditions, finding a terminated Apatite that is oriented vertically is virtually impossible. I've looked through the stock of the primary two miners for over 13 years, and this specimen has been one of the finest for overall aesthetics. The internal gemminess is wonderfully complimented by the 16.5 internally clean square cushion facetted Apatite from the same Mine. The stone was cut by Michael Davis, an experienced American cutter in the Cincinnati area. There is a tiny chip out of a corner of the Apatite crystal, that doesn't catch the eye. 99.9% of material from this area is damaged.
