This is a classic Maine tourmaline. It was found within the last 4 to 5 years. It has a blue-green color that is typical of Mt. Mica. It is aesthetically pleasing, especially with the feldspar that accents the termination. I must say it has a "Devil's Tower," look to it (Richard Dreyfuss could have used it in Close Encounters of the third kind). It comes with its original priced label from Leonard Himes ($950), who is a partner with the mine owner. It has some miner scuffing on the backside (fourth pic), and just a little on the front edge of the termination. It weighs 185 grams.
