This is an unusually large polychrome Sapphire crystal, still embedded in its Schist matrix. The Sapphire is an impressive 2.8 x 2.5 x 1.6 cm. There are two minor sapphires on the back right side that each are about 1.5 cm the crystals actually form with a calcite 'jacket,' within the schist. The prominent crystal is an attractive blend of purple and pink. As is common with this deposit, some aspects of the Corundum crystals intergrow with the schist (hence the black spot on the front corner). this material hasn't been available on the market for about 4 years. I personally exposed the primary crystal as only a small portion was originally showing. It sold immediately 4 years ago, and I recently got it back as part of a large trade.
