In the same general area of the Amethyst geodes from southern Brazil, there is another deposit that produces elegant Amethyst "flowers," like this one. They form in basalt (ancient volcanic flows), with very little room to crystallize. the result are thin 'sheets' of Quartz that catch the light and add attractive vertical composition to your collection. This piece is in excellent condition, and displays a range of color from clear to a moderate purple/lavender.
