The polished opal was the only piece I acquired this season from my contact who owns and works opal mines in Jalisco. This piece struck me as a fiery tooth. I've paired it with a jelly matrix opal from the same location that I got from an old collection (mined in the late sixties), pieces like this are all cut nowadays. The polished piece has incredible color play with green, blue and reds, it is a special piece.
