AZURITE2

This is an ultra sharp Azurite specimen, featuring bright glassy blue crystals. Directly beneath them are Malachite pseudomorphs after Azurite that are bright green and chatoyant. This piece has an attractive contrast between blue and glassy and Green and chatoyant. The piece is in great shape, with only a small contact on one of the Azurite crystals. This comes from Tsumeb, the premier classic location of Africa. It was mined in the early eighties back when the mine was in production.
