This awesome amethyst is a radial "burst," of crystallization. We recently acquired this beautiful example of Reel mine Amethyst from a collection in central North Carolina. This mine has been 'winding down,' for several years, and high quality clusters like this one are few and far between. The color is excellent (more purple in person), and the condition is great for this location (damage is very common). There is a minor ding in the bottom middle of the piece, but the range of large crystals make it hard to spot. Two of about 40 crystals have tiny wilburs, that are much harder to spot. Overall, this is an excellent example and hard to find. It weighs 1400 grams/ over 3 pounds.
